Hannibal Street Department crew members prepared two sections of Hannibal roadway for permanent patches during Wednesday's sunny conditions.

Street Department Supervisor Mike McHargue said the crews were installing a permanent patch on Broadway in front of Central Park, along with a patch on Ely St. near the train tracks. The patch work followed repairs for water or sewer repair work from Board of Public Works personnel. After their temporary patch settles for about a month, Street Department employees install a permanent patch.

The city-wide paving project was moving ahead as well, with crews working on Munger Lane on Wednesday. Project efforts will be focused next on roadways north of Palmyra Road, McHargue said.
