Tina Smith, age 39, of Hannibal, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, and felon in possession of a firearm — all felonies.

A Hannibal woman is behind bars after a police raid on Union St. Thursday.

On May 3, officers assigned to the Hannibal Police Department’s Anti-Crime

Enforcement Squad (ACES) executed a narcotics search warrant in the 1300 block of Union Street. During the search officers allegedly located a 9mm handgun, marijuana, and a large amount of methamphetamine.

Tina Smith, age 39, of Hannibal, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, and felon in possession of a firearm — all felonies.

Zachary Hylton, 27, of Hannibal was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail on a probation warrant.

A third person was arrested at the scene, but as of Friday morning hadn’t been charged with a crime. The Courier-Post typically does not identify suspect not yet charged.

Smith’s bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety. The Hannibal Police Department was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department K-9.
