Hannibal Clinic staff members perform training on a new Brevera breast biopsy system on Tuesday, April 10. The new system will be ready for patients Wednesday, and will reduce costs and improve the experience for the patient. The system is the only standalone prone — or lie down — table in the world that combines tissue acquisition, sample verification and advanced post-biopsy handling with real-time 2D and 3D imaging capabilities. The technology was approved in August 2017, said Hannibal Clinic Radiology Supervisor Cindy Stout.
