The Show-Me State Games and Shelter Insurance® are hosting a Torch Lighting Ceremony and Run in Hannibal on Tuesday, April 17, in preparation for the 2018 Show-Me State Games.

The Show-Me State Games and Shelter Insurance® are hosting a Torch Lighting Ceremony and Run in Hannibal on Tuesday, April 17, in preparation for the 2018 Show-Me State Games. The event is part of a 10-city statewide Torch Run, and will begin at 11 a.m. at Central Park.

 

 

The event will begin with a brief Torch Lighting Ceremony, including speakers from the Show-Me State Games and Shelter Insurance®, as well as the city of Hannibal. Hannibal residents, including students from Holy Family, will bring the torch through the downtown area.

The Torch Run will culminate with the Opening Ceremonies festivities at Mizzou Arena on Friday, July 20, at 7 p.m.

 

 The Show-Me State Games is an Olympic-style sports festival offering more than 40 events for all ages and ability levels. The 2018 GAMES will take place on June 8-10, July 20-22 and July 27-29 in Columbia.
