Haldon B. Delo, 61, of O'Fallon, and his passenger, Larry W. Barngrover, 68, of St. Charles, suffered moderate injuries in a collision at 12:45 p.m. Friday, April 6, on U.S. 36 at Monroe City.

Timothy S. Inman, 53, of Hannibal, had minor injuries. All three went to Hannibal Regional Hospital, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Officers reported Inman was driving a 2006 International truck with a road repair crew that had stopped in the passing lane of eastbound U.S. 36, where the crew was directing traffic into the right lane.

Delo was driving a 2017 Dodge Journey in the eastbound passing lane. He approached the truck, failed to move over and rear-ended the truck driven by Inman. Both vehicles stopped in the passing lane.

All three occupants had been wearing seat belts.

The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Monroe City Police Department, Monroe City Fire Department and Ambulance Departments, and the Missouri Department of Transportation.
