A pair of Palmyra residents sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle mishap late Wednesday morning in Marion County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the mishap happened at 11:10 a.m. March 14 on County Road 425, two miles north of Hannibal.

A 2015 Ford Escape was being driven south by 53-year-old Laurie J. Hobbs of Palmyra. The crash occurred when the vehicle drove off the right side of the road and struck a concrete post.

In addition to Laurie J. Hobbs, also hurt was a passenger, 55-year-old Brent H. Hobbs of Palmyra.

The Hobbs, who were both wearing safety devices, were taken by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
