Donald R. White is accused of stealing in excess of $300,000 from Antioch Baptist Church.

A longtime elder of a burned-down church has been arrested and charged with theft from the church.

KHQA, the Courier-Post's news-gathering partners, reported that Donald R. White, 68, of Hannibal, was arrested and charged with two federal counts of wire fraud.

He is accused of stealing in excess of $300,000 from Antioch Baptist Church.

The church burned to the ground on Dec. 20, 2016.

Following the fire, an investigation was launched by the Ralls County Sheriff's Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Missouri State Fire Marshal, and others.

White was an elder and treasurer at the church. He is being taken to St. Louis by the FBI.

As of Friday morning March 9, no online charging documents were available in either the Missouri court records system or the federal system.
