With the turn of the calendar to February, the Tom and Becky Program jumps into full swing. Sign ups for the 2018-2019 Tom and Becky Goodwill Ambassador Program will be held the week of Feb. 26 though March 2 at the Hannibal Middle School, Holy Family School, St. John's Lutheran School and at the Mark Twain Museum offices located at 120 N. Main, Hannibal.

Started in 1956 to select one young man and one young woman to greet 1,200 school children from Saint Louis, this Hannibal tradition has found it's home at The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum.  Tom and Becky Goodwill Ambassadors continue each year to greet tourists from all over the world, and travel, sharing their knowledge of Twain and Hannibal.

The first step to become a Tom or Becky Goodwill Ambassador is to sign up. Registration is open to all 7th grade students of any race or ethnic background who are attending public, private or home-schooled within the Hannibal School District and who reside within the Hannibal Public School District.

Interested in how your child can become a Tom or Becky Goodwill Ambassador?  Contact Melissa Cummins, Tom and Becky Coordinator at 573-221-9010 ext. 404 or register during the sign up period from Feb. 26 through March 2.  An informational meeting for those interested in the program will be held on Tuesday, March 6 at 3:30 p.m. in the Choir Room of the Hannibal Middle School.
