According to police chief Kenneth Yelliott, on Feb. 13,a Pittsfield Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding.

A Naperville, Ill., woman is behind bars after officers in Pittsfield, Ill., allegedly discovered drugs in her vehicle.

According to police chief Kenneth Yelliott, on Feb. 13,a Pittsfield Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding.

During the traffic stop, the officer developed probable cause to initiate a search of the vehicle. Officers located and seized approximately seven grams of cannabis and 1.5 grams of powder cocaine.

Officers arrested Arianna Burrell, age 21, of Naperville, Ill. Burrell was lodged in the Pike County Jail and charged with possession of cocaine. The Pike County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the traffic stop.
