Both drivers were injured at 8 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, when a car rear-ended a dump truck that was plowing U.S. 61 one mile north of Hannibal.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Dodge Charger driven by Stella I. Baldan, 25, of Nashville, Tenn., rear-ended a 2005 International 7400 dump truck driven by Dillon J. Tolivar, 25, of Hannibal.

Officers said Baldan suffered moderate injuries, and Tolivar had minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt, and it was unknown if Baldan was using a safety device. Both went to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.

The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff's Department, Hannibal Rural Fire Department and Marion County Ambulance personnel.
