Three northeast Missouri residents sustained serious injuries early Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash in Marion County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident happened at 1:20 a.m. Dec. 24 on U.S. 61, one mile north of Palmyra.

A 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was being drive north by 30-year-old James A. Williams of Palmyra. Williams reportedly lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered pavement. The Silverado traveled off the right side of the road where it struck a rock bluff. Williams and a passenger were ejected. None of the occupants were wearing a safety device.

Williams and two passengers – 26-year-old Travis A. Bross of Palmyra and 26-year-old Gera M. Hatfield of Ewing – were transported by Marion County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
