A couple from Curryville was injured Saturday when the vehicle the man and woman were in struck a bull in Pike County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the crash happened at 7:46 p.m. Nov. 25 on U.S. 54, east of North Science Street.

A 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer was being driven west by 78-year-old Edward E. Taylor of Curryville when a bull walked onto the roadway and into the path of the vehicle, which struck the animal.

Edward E. Taylor and a passenger, 78-year-old Julia M. Taylor of Curryville, both suffered moderate injuries. They were wearing safety devices when the accident occurred. The couple was flown to University Hospital in Columbia.
