Hannibal Parks Department personnel have been installing holiday decorations in the downtown area this week.

Hannibal Parks and Recreation Department personnel have been busy this week installing holiday decorations in the downtown area.

On Monday, two larger displays were set up in the Cardiff Hill Overlook Park, located on North Third Street.

On Tuesday, a two-man crew was using a bucket truck to hang lights from trees along North Main Street.

The process of putting up all the decorations takes almost two weeks, according to Aron Lee, assistant director of the city’s parks and recreation department.

Lee explained that once all the lighting displays are up and all the tree lights have been hung, workers will begin installing snowmen and putting up wreaths.
