The incident took place on County Road 324 two miles west of Palmyra.

A Palmyra teenager is recovering from injuries sustained in a two-car wreck shortly after noon Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Sierra Plank, 18, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet SUV when the vehicle crossed into another lane, in which was a 2005 Dodge truck driven by 68-year-old Joseph Barnes, also of Palmyra. 

Following a collision, Plank's vehicle came to rest off the roadway in a ditch.

The incident took place on County Road 324 two miles west of Palmyra.

Plank was taken to Hannibal Regional for treatment of injuries described as "moderate." Barnes sustained minor injuries and was not transported for treatment.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, both drivers were wearing a seat belt.
