Three Bowling Green residents went by ambulance to Pike County Memorial Hospital after a one-car crash at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, in rural Pike County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Ashlee E. Lucas, 32, was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer on Route UU north of Pike County Road 162, when she failed to negotiate a curve. The car traveled partially off the right side of the road, and she overcorrected. The vehicle then went off the right side of the road, striking the ground and trees.

Lucas suffered moderate injuries. Her passengers, Keeliegh G. Lucas, 11, and Robbie D. McKenzie, 13, had minor injuries. All three were wearing seat belts when the accident occurred.
