As part of its observance of Public Utilities Week the Hannibal Board of Public Works on Thursday invited customers to join it for lunch.

With Public Utilities Week winding down, the Hannibal Board of Public Works invited the public to join it Thursday for a Customer Appreciation Lunch at its Industrial Loop Drive location.

Public Utilities Week, which is celebrated in conjunction with Public Power Week, featured HBPW personnel undertaking service projects at the Northeast Missouri Humane Society throughout the week.

According to Heath Hall of the HBPW, the rain that fell earlier in the week did not curtail what was accomplished.

“We were able to schedule around Tuesday’s rain. We were at the humane society Monday and Tuesday. We got all the outside stuff done on Monday, and were able to move inside on Tuesday,” he said.
