The United Way of the Mark Twain Area took part in another successful KHMO Radio Auction amid the 2017 Campaign on Saturday, Sept. 30.

With the help of over 25 enthusiastic volunteers, all bid items were set out and sold. The volunteers and United Way members wished to extend special thanks to General Mills — who donated 396 cases of Progresso soup, the item that traditionally leads the auction.

Organizers and volunteers also thanked the companies/agencies that provided volunteers who were so important to the success of the auction: KHMO, General Mills, BASF, Child Center, Foster Grandparents, Teens in Motion, F.A.C.T., Student Success Center, Learning Opportunities, Community Volunteers, United Way Board members and a special mention to Ed Foxall.

Over $5,400 was raised that morning. All of those proceeds will go to the United Way partner agencies serving clients in the five-county area: Ralls, Monroe, Marion, Shelby and Lewis.
