On Sept. 16, the American Legion Riders Chapter 55 of the Emmette J. Shields Post #55 of the American Legion were proud to lead the final segment of the Wall to Wall Ride Escort.  This escort was taking American and POW/MIA flags that had flown over the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, DC to the new Missouri National Veterans Memorial Park in Perryville, Mo.  The entire escort was more than 2,200 miles, but this last segment was from Arnold, Mo., to Perryville, Mo.  It was a privilege and an honor for the American Legion Riders Chapter 55 to be asked to participate.  It was a memorable experience for several of the riders as they are Vietnam Veterans.  This memorial is going to be very beautiful when finished. It is a must see if you get the chance.
