The Hannibal Police Department reported an incident on Sunday, Sept. 24, that resulted in a pedestrian injury and an arrested motorist.

The HPD reported that at 4:07 p.m. Sunday afternoon officers were called to Hope Street for a disturbance involving a large group of people. During the disturbance, a vehicle drove through the crowd and struck a female.

The driver then fled the area. The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old female from Hannibal, was later located and arrested.

The victim was transported by Emergency Medical Services for treatment.

This incident is still under investigation, and further information will be released at a later date.
