Douglass Community Services and its programs invites the community to join together and help flood victims through the building on flood relief buckets.

Historically, Douglass has been in the business of helping people and communities with services in times of crisis and emergency. Collaborating with Church World Services, Douglass encourages the community to collect cleaning supplies to assist families with cleanup. Our local communities have been the recipients of these types of items during river flooding and it’s time to give back.

“Many times, when areas of Northeast Missouri have flooded, we have received flood recovery buckets distribute to victims,” said RSVP Director Stacey Nicholas. “Knowing the importance of those supplies, we can now help others.”

All cleaning items must be new – all liquid items must be capped and securely tightened.

Financial donations are also needed. Make checks payable to Douglass Community Services. Write “Bucket” in the memo space. All donations are tax deductible.

Donations can be left at Douglass Community Services, 711 Grand Ave, Hannibal, MO 63401.
