Eric Abts of the Rotary Club of Hannibal presents a Major Projects Grant check to Kirsten Alvey-Mudd, executive director of Missouri Bat Census. The funds will be used to allow students and visitors to better understand the world's largest winter hibernation of endangered Indiana bats at Hannibal's Sodalis Nature Preserve. The funding of the EchoMeter Touch 2 Bat acoustical chips will allow individuals to use their own cellphone or tablet/IPad to listen to bats not seen with the naked eye.
