PFC. Cruse is the son of Jason and Laura Cruse of Sioux Falls, S.D. His grandparents are Fred and Nancy Cruse of Hannibal.
Private First Class Thomas C. Cruse of Sioux Falls, S.D., graduated from Basic Combat Infantry Training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. on Aug. 17.
During the 10 weeks of training, PFC Cruse received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid and Army history, along with their core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing the use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.
PFC Cruse was the Company honor graduate for B Co., 1st Battalion, 34th Infantry Regiment. He received a meritorious promotion from PV2 to PFC as the honor graduate.
PFC. Cruse is the son of Jason and Laura Cruse of Sioux Falls, S.D. His grandparents are Fred and Nancy Cruse of Hannibal. Thomas was born at Hannibal Regional Hospital. His graduation from boot camp was the day before his 18th birthday.
PFC Cruse is returning to Washington High School, Sioux Falls, S.D., to complete his senior year. He will graduate in 2018. Following graduation from high school, he will attend his AIT as a combat medic at Ft. Sam Houston, TX.
