A newly-announced policy for the 2017-2018 school year will mean that deliveries of food, drinks, flowers and other items will no longer be accepted, in accordance with the Hannibal School District's wellness policy.

Hannibal High School representatives announced the new policy through a Facebook post, and the stipulations also apply to Hannibal Middle School students. Deliveries of food, drinks, flowers, balloons and other items will no longer be accepted. The policy change was set up “in the best interest of our students,” according to the post.

Parents and vendors will no longer be allowed to deliver items to students. Deliveries arriving at the school will be denied, and fast food orders will not be sent to students. Students who place orders for delivery of items to campus will be subject to office disciplinary action.
