The Hannibal Jaycees will host the 2017 Zombie Run on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Hannibal Jaycees downtown location at 320 S. Third St.

The Hannibal Jaycees will host the 2017 Zombie Run on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Hannibal Jaycees downtown location at 320 S. Third St.

Participants may enter individually, as a family or team in the 2017 Zombie Run. If your business would like to sponsor a team of employees or gift a team, please contact Carrie Danner at 573-221-2111 for team discounts.

On-site registration for the runs will start at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30.

The family run, where zombies will not stalk or chase children, begins at 5 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., the Zombie Run starts, and zombies will chase and stalk participants throughout the course. The goal is to finish with both flags attached (football flags are worn during the event.) Finish with both flags, and you survived the Zombie Apocalypse. One flag means you are infected; two mean you are a goner.

To receive a discount, sign up with four or more participants and receive 25 percent off the total registration. Teams of 20 or more members receive 35 percent off total registration. The cost is $25 until Thursday, Aug. 31; the cost is $30 from Friday, Sept. 1 until the day of the event.

The family fun run will start at the Hannibal Jaycees downtown location. Zombies will be seen but will not chase or pull flags. One participating adult is required per family entry. Proceeds from the Zombie Run will benefit Access to Healing and Wellness in their efforts to increase access to mental health and wellness activities and services to local children in alternative care.
