Small town living affords many obvious perks for the “locals”. One of those perks is the fact that everyone knows everyone and pretty much what they are up to.

Not so at the Tuesday night, July 11, drawing for the Monroe City R-1 School Foundation raffle drawing. Foundation President Gary Yager drew a ticket displaying the name David Strachon (not present at the drawing) which included his chosen #5 but no phone number. Hence, no way to contact him.

The #5 envelope reveled the 3 of Hearts, not the winning jackpot number but making Strachon eligible for $100.

As we move on to next weeks’ drawing we urge you to buy your tickets and be sure to include your phone number on the ticket, along with your name, and your chosen number. You may be a weekly winner and even the jackpot winner. In any case we need your information to find you. Meanwhile, if you know David Strachon, please have him contact the Dugout or any member of the Foundation board to claim his check. After next Tuesday we will assume Strachon is generously donating it back to the raffle.
