Two Pittsfield, Ill., residents are behind bars following a drug-related operation on Saturday, July 15.

Pittsfield Police Chief Kenneth Yelliott said the Pittsfield Police Department obtained a court-authorized search warrant for a residence on the 600 Block of North Dutton Street in Pittsfield on July 15.

Officers allegedly located and seized methamphetamine, hypodermic syringes, distribution bags and drug paraphernalia.

Officers arrested Charles Swarringim, 33, and Lisa Guthrie, 39, both of Pittsfield on suspicion of the following offenses;

• possession of Methamphetamine

• possession of Drug Paraphernalia

• Possession of Hypodermic Syringes

The Pittsfield Police Department was assisted by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and the Western Illinois Drug Task Force during the investigation.
