Anthony E. Williams, 25, of Hannibal, was arrested on suspicion of robbery, armed criminal action, felon is possession of a firearm, and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

A man wanted on a warrant out of Monroe County for driving without a valid license faces several more charges stemming from an alleged armed robbery that took place Monday night in Hannibal.

Anthony E. Williams, 25, of Hannibal, was arrested and subsequently charged with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action, and unlawful possession of a firearm. He was also arrested on the warrant from Monroe County.

According to the Hannibal Police Department, officers responded to the 300 block of South Levering around 9:48 p.m. Monday, July 10.

A victim told officers he/she had been robbed at gunpoint. The victim provided a description of the suspects. Williams was taken into custody a short time later.

Williams was taken to the Marion County Jail, where he remains on a $100,000 cash bond. The victim in the case did not sustain injuries.
