A Louisiana man was seriously injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle mishap in Pike County.

A Louisiana man was seriously injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle mishap in Pike County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident happened at 6:10 a.m. July 6 on U.S. 54, east of County Road 272.

A 2012 Ford F350 was being driven east by 32-year-old Seth E. Ince of Frankford. Meanwhile a 2017 Harley-Davidson, operated by 41-year-old Travis L. Thurman of Louisiana, was westbound. According to the accident report the motorcycle pulled into the path of the Ford and struck it in the right front. The motorcycle went off the road where it overturned, ejecting Thurman, who was not wearing a safety device.

Thurman was flown to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
