Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Calile Taylor of Hannibal will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Friday, July 7, 2017.

Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Calile Taylor of Hannibal will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Friday, July 7, 2017. 

Phyllis Ann Thompson and Charlie Calile Taylor were united in marriage July 7, 1957, in Monroe City, Mo. Father Ludwig officiated. Attendants were Joe Thompson and the late Doris Givan.

Mrs. Taylor is the daughter of the late Angelo and Lena Thompson. Mr. Taylor is the son of the late Virgil and Pearl Taylor.

They are the parents of Mike Taylor and wife, Retha, of Florissant; Martin Taylor and wife, Sandy, of Troy; and Marsha Estes and husband, Craig, of Hannibal. They are the grandparents of Sara Taylor, Justin Taylor, Bradley Taylor, Taylor Estes and Colin Estes. They have three great-grandchildren, and their granddaughter, Taylor, is expecting twins this month.  

Mr. Taylor retired from Central Stone Company, where he worked for 40 years. He served in the National Guard for six years. Mrs. Taylor was the last acting postmistress at the Huntington Post Office until it closed in 1968.

A surprise reception is being held for them at the Monroe City Nutrition Center on July 9, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  Friends and family are invited to help them celebrate. No gifts, please.
