Two people were injured Wednesday in a Monroe County crash.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the collision happened at 1:35 p.m. June 28 at U.S. 24 and MO 15, one mile north of Paris.

A 2000 Pontiac Bonneville was being driven south by 19-year-old Whitney R. Fountain of Shelbina while a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox was being driven east by 22-year-old Bethany N. Hadsell of Ashland. According to the accident report the Pontiac pulled into the path of the Chevrolet and the vehicles collided.

Fountain and Hadsell, who were wearing safety devices, sustained moderate injuries. Both women were taken by ambulance to Moberly Regional Hospital in Moberly.
