Richard and Dorothy Cerretti, Hannibal, announce the observance of their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, July 1. They were married in Pueblo, Colo. by Mrs. Cerretti's pastor and Mr. Cerretti's father. Both pastors were roommates when they were in college.

The Cerrettis met at the same college in Sterling, Kan., and later transferred and graduated with B.S. degrees in Education from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan.

They came to Hannibal in 1970 to teach school, Mr. Cerretti as a Kindergarten teacher at Eugene Field and Mrs. Cerretti as a second grade teacher at A.D. Stowell. They have lived in Hannibal ever since. The Cerrettis have three children with whom they will be celebrating at the end of September. Susan lives in Springfield, Mo., and works at Chase card services as a Business Process analyst. Richard “John” lives in Marietta, Ga., and is Vice President of finance for the Atlanta office of J.E. Dunn, a nationwide construction company. He and his wife, Kim, have two children, Gabrielle, 5, and Samuel, 2. Jennifer is in Austin, Texas, working for Goodwill as a Grant Project supervisor.

Mr. Cerretti has been a professional photographer in Hannibal for over 40 years and is currently working part-time as a field representative for the U.S. Census Bureau. Mrs. Cerretti taught school in Hannibal for several years and is currently an activity aide at Beth Haven Nursing Home.
