The Mark Twain 4-H Club held its annual May Graduation Picnic at the Paris Community Building on May 7 to honor 2017 graduates Betsy Embree and Britany Williams.

The Mark Twain 4-H Club held its annual May Graduation Picnic at the Paris Community Building on May 7 to honor 2017 graduates Betsy Embree and Britany Williams.

There were 16 members, 16 leaders and six guests present. A brief meeting was held following the dessert. Future date reminders, 4-H consignment forms are due June 5 at 4:30 p.m. Those attending 4-H Camp should be submitting those forms as well. 4-H Camp will be held June 19-23.

The Monroe County Invitational Shoot is Saturday, June 10, while the Monroe County Fashion Revue registration deadline is June 30. 4-H State Congress will be held May 31-June 2.

A Rada Cutlery fundraiser packet was handed out to each family present. This packet is due at the next meeting and proceeds will be for Summer Scholarship Program. Move Across Missouri participants were asked to submit their minutes before May 15. Members who have not completed their county demonstrations were told is May 31, 2017 for the Monroe County 4-H Completion Process.

Members were also told that the June, July and August meeting will be held at 6 p.m. instead of usual 4 p.m. The club will pick up trash at the June meeting. A safety tip of don’t text and drive was given by Connor Eckman while Spencer Minks gave a health tip of don’t do drugs. The meeting was adjourned with congratulations offered to Betsy Embree and Britany Williams.
