A narcotics search on April 12 resulted in the arrest of a Madison man.

According to Monroe County Sheriff David Hoffman, on Wednesday, April 12, members of the East Central Drug Task Force, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search warrant at the residence of Robert R. Stodgell of Madison.

According to Hoffman, several subjects were detained at the scene without incident while the residence was searched.

Officers allegedly located several bags and containers holding marijuana and other drug paraphernalia during the search along with an undisclosed amount of money. Also located during the search was Winchester Model 94 30-30 caliber rifle.

Stodgell was transported to the Monroe County Jail at the conclusion of the search and was later formally charged with delivery of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon.

Stodgell was held in the Monroe County Jail on $50,000 cash or surety bond.
