Even though the rest of the prep sports on the docket for Wednesday were cancelled because of weather, the Missouri Military Academy varsity tennis team has an indoor facility.

This gave the Colonels the opportunity to play their scheduled match against Mexico and they didn't disappoint, winning 7-2.

"It was great to play our first match of the season. I thought we played well against a good team," said coach Michael Pemberton. "In singles, I was especially pleased with the play QiTao Wang and Temesgen Ghidey. As first-year players, both handled their matches with patience and poise. As a team, we will continue to practice and improve. Overall, I was proud of our effort."
