The Missouri State Highway Patrol inspected the bus fleet of the Hannibal public school district on Thursday morning.

Weeks of advance preparation paid off Thursday when the 34 buses of the Hannibal public school district fleet earned a perfect score from a team of inspectors from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

“It’s a good feeling,” said Brent Meyer, the school district’s director of transportation, regarding the school district’s most recent perfect bus inspection score.

A seven-person team of personnel from the highway patrol arrived early Thursday morning. The team of inspectors divided up and checked different aspects of the buses, working both outside and inside the school district’s transportation center on Warren Barrett Drive.
