With weather conditions almost spring-like Monday, Hannibal Fire Department training was able to move outdoors.

Members of the Hannibal Fire Department took advantage of Monday’s weather conditions to allow new firefighters the opportunity to get in some outdoor training.

Training Officer John Baker said that typically he does not schedule many training sessions outside in February, noting how changeable weather conditions can be.

Training Officer Shane Jaeger added that when good weather does occur in February, the HFD tries to take advantage of it.

On Monday, one firefighter was becoming familiar with the water-pumping capabilities of Engine 2 while another firefighter was logging some time manning a hose.
