Swiss Colony marks 10 years in Hannibal

When Swiss Colony executives started searching for a location for a new call center in 1998, they happened upon the lovely little Mississippi River town of Hannibal, Mo. It was a match made in heaven; the company found a welcoming community and a multitude of hard-working employees, and the community gained a dependable long-term employer.

Benefit bowling

PAL Bowl recently hosted the Lorena Lake “Bowl for the Cure” Tournament.  Fifty percent of the proceeds were donated to the Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation in support of the James E. Cary Cancer Center, and the other 50 percent was given to the children of the late Lea Porter.

Lyndell Davis, Hannibal police chief, and Jimmy Shinn, Marion County sheriff, have both agreed to take turns in a dunking booth Saturday, Sept. 26, during the Northeast Missouri Humane Society’s “Bow Wow Luau” at the Mark Twain Cave.
