John Di Tillo, a 2004 graduate of Hannibal High School, graduated magna cum laude May 18 from the University of Notre Dame. He received a bachelor of arts degree in history with a minor in European studies. He was on the dean’s list. He is the son of Frank and Kathy Di Tillo.
At Notre Dame, Di Tillo was a volunteer at the campus preschool, a religious education teacher at a South Bend parish, mentor for several area students and co-captain of his Alumni Hall soccer team. He spent one semester at the L’Universite Catholique De L’ouest in Angers, France. During his senior year he worked at the Nanovic Institute for European Studies.
Di Tillo is a volunteer teacher at the Louverture Cleary school in Port au Prince, Haiti. This is a private, tuition-free Catholic boarding high school for academically gifted but impoverished Haitian students. The school is supported by Hatiian Porject Inc.
