Hannibal, MO —

Trinity Episcopal Church’s Guild Hall Galleries, located at 213 N. Fourth St., Hannibal,  will feature the works of Willy Richmond, starting on Sunday, Sept. 7. The Photos by Willy exhibit will run throughout October.  A “Blessing of the Artwork” will be held at the 10 a.m. Worship Service on Sunday, Sept. 7 to christen his artwork and will be followed by a special Coffee Hour Reception hosted by the Trinity Church Youth Group.
Willy Richmond is a life-long resident of Hannibal whose photographs have been exhibited in many art galleries throughout the region.  A 1979 graduate of Northeast Missouri State College, his photographic artwork ranges from capturing naturalist settings to creating abstract art forms. An avid traveler, he has enjoyed chronicling his many overseas and homeland adventures by capturing them through the lens of his camera.  The Photos by Willy exhibit is being featured in Gallery B.
Continuing to be on display in Gallery A is the artwork of Michael Chlebanowski whose paintings and photography reflect the phenomena of his experience to the natural landscape.  Classifying his artwork as realism and utilizing the ideas of Claude Monet, his paintings attempt to capture the essence of time and space.  Having been in the graphic design and illustration business for over 20 years and having taught at many colleges and universities in northern Illinois, his greatest blessing in his art career has been the opportunity to pass the joy of art to others.  Currently, Michael is an assistant professor of art at Hannibal-LaGrange College and co-owns the Rooster’s Crow Art Center located at 221 Bird St., in downtown Hannibal, with his wife, Carla.  The artwork by Michael Chlebanowski can be seen through September.
