Hannibal, MO —

Texas Longhorn offensive lineman No. 71 Chris Hall, the grandson of John and Kay Bogue of Hannibal, will speak to the graduating class at Immanuel Baptist Church,  3600 McMasters’ Ave., at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 11.
As a sophomore Hall played all five positions on the Texas offensive line in 2007.
He also will have some time as center in the 2008 season.
His offensive coordinator Greg Davis, said, “I’ve never seen him without a smile on his face. With Chris the glass isn’t half full, it’s running over.”
Football academic counselor Brian Davis said of Hall, “he’s one of the most absolute, sincere true believers in faith and mankind I know.”
Coach Mack Brown said, “we’re excited about Chris and his future as a key member of the Texas Longhorns.”
As a growing sixth grader, constant pain in his legs sent him to a year of treatment at a Dallas hospital, where doctors told Hall and his family he might not be able to play sports. But his faith and a lot of hard work has proven them wrong.
Pastor Mark Albee and Youth Director Gary Taylor at Immanuel Baptist will be leading the graduation honor services.
