Hannibal, MO —

Michael A. Saul, supervisor of instrumental music at Hannibal High School, said the Pirate Pride Marching Band presented its best performance of the year Saturday, Oct. 4, when they competed at Washington.
Band members practiced at Korf Field early Saturday morning, before loading up on three buses for the trip south.
The band ranked fifth out of eight bands in their school size, Saul said. “It is simply a fact that four other bands scored higher.”
The marching band will compete at Kahoka on Saturday, Oct. 11, Saul said.
