The Quincy Area Branch Alzheimer’s Association will hold a candle lighting service at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Good Samaritan Home chapel, 2130 Harrison, to honor or remember loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease as an event of National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month.


Food distribution planned Thursday

Douglass Community Services Inc., 711 Grand Ave., will hold its monthly USDA Food Distribution from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5. Eligibility is based on income and clients must be Marion County residents.


Kendrick NEILS interim director

The Board of Directors of NorthEast Independent Living Services (NEILS) has announced the appointment of Brooke Kendrick as interim executive director.  All services to individuals with disabilities served by the organization will continue. NEILS serves the counties of Clark, Lewis, Marion, Monroe, Ralls, and Pike counties in North East Missouri.
