Last month, the lady Blue Devil Volleyball team hosted a Volley for the Cure volleyball match. The lady Blue Devils raised more than $2,000 for research and awareness of breast cancer. $400 of that went to the Quincy Medical Group Foundation, which supports the local community projects that improve health and well being, foster medical education and promotes research. Angie Barnes, Laboratory Tech at Quincy Medical Group helped coordinate the event, “The Lady Devils have worked hard this year at giving back to our community. They are a wonderful bunch of young ladies. Family and friends are proud of their accomplishments on and off the court.” Angie’s daughter,
Maddy, plays for the Lady Blue Devil Volleyball team and helped raise money by selling baked goods. Aric Sharp, CEO of Quincy Medical Group stated, “We would like to thank the Lady Blue Devil Volleyball for their kindness, generosity, and we appreciate the support for the Foundation. Their gift will be designated towards cancer related care, research, and education.”
