Scott Friedersdorf, DPM, of the Hannibal Clinic, has been named a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS).
The ACFAS reserves Fellow membership status for foot and ankle surgeons who earn board certification from the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS). Friedersdorf was recently board certified in foot surgery.
Friedersdorf earned his bachelor degree in biology from Florida State University in Tallahassee and completed his doctoral training at the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Following a three-year surgical residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich., Friedersdorf passed the ABPS’ examination to become board qualified. As a board qualified foot and ankle surgeon, Friedersdorf met the requirements for ACFAS Associate membership. Friedersdorf has now achieved board certification in foot surgery.
