Pledges are meant to be fulfilled. That is exactly what the Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary did Monday with the presentation of an almost $87,000 check which completed its overall pledge of $500,000 to the hospital’s cardiovascular institute.
“This donation makes a tremendous difference on the hospital’s ability to provide advanced cardiac care capabilities to the residents of our region,” said John Grossmeier, president and CEO of Hannibal Regional Hospital, who along with Wendy Harrington, president and CEO of the Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation, accepted the $86,679.05 check Monday from Maryann Hamilton, auxiliary president. “We are about to start another year of continued growth thanks to the auxiliary’s commitment to Hannibal Regional Hospital. The auxiliary’s efforts are sincerely appreciated.”

“The auxiliary is an incredible group of individuals who works tirelessly for the hospital,” added Harrington. “These individuals, over 250 of them in our community, are here to support the Hannibal Regional Hospital and all the services we offer. These individuals have different fund-raising events throughout the year. Since their inception they have donated over $2.3 million to our Hannibal Regional healthcare system. For that we cannot thank them enough.”
