The Hannibal Clinic invites area youth to bring their bicycles, roller blades, scooter, or skateboards to "Ride Cool" Helmet Safety Event, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10 on the campus of the Hannibal Clinic.
During the event, 400 bicycle safety helmets will be given away to area children. Children will also receive a free Ride Cool t-shirt. Other highlights of the safety event include helmet fittings, bicycle safety inspections, obstacle courses, a bicycle and gear wash, giveaways and egg drop demonstrations.
Something new that will be offered at Ride Cool are car seat checks performed by Safe Kids and F.A.C.T. Car seat checkers will go to family's vehicles to ensure that their children's safety seats are properly installed and therefore, providing the child the most safety.
