The Blessing Cancer Center is offering the Look Good, Feel Better Program at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24 on the Lower Level of the Center.
Look Good…Feel Better is a free program that teaches beauty techniques to women cancer patients to help enhance their appearance and self-image during active chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Those participating in the program will receive a complete makeover using cosmetics and skin care products donated by the cosmetic industry. Women will also learn ways to cope with hair loss by using wigs, scarves, and other accessories. Six local cosmetologists, who volunteer their time, are certified for the program by the American Cancer Society.
Look Good…Feel Better is a non-medical, product-neutral program offered in partnership with the American Cancer Society, the National Cosmetology Association, and The Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association Foundation, a charitable organization supported by the cosmetic industry.
