Plastic surgeon joins medical group

Schuyler C. Metlis, M.D., P.A., plastic surgeon, has joined Hannibal Regional Medical Group. 
Dr. Metlis completed his medical education at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He then completed residencies in general surgery at Bellevue Hospital, New York University Medical Center and at the Medical College of Ohio. Dr. Metlis completed a residency in plastic surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
 “With Dr. Metlis’s arrival, a new area of expertise will be added to the Hannibal Regional Medical Group roster.  His years of experience support our anticipation that patients in our region will greatly benefit from his skills and talent,” said Dr. Richard Draper, HRMG medical director, stated.
Plastic Surgeons provide repairs to defects of form or function.  This can include reconstructive surgery as well as cosmetic surgery. Dr. Metlis specializes in cosmetic surgery of the breasts, face and body, post-mastectomy breast reconstruction and skin cancer surgery.
