Dr. Timothy James Von Fange has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Quincy as an assistant professor of family and community medicine, specializing in sports medicine.
Von Fange completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship and a family medicine residency, both at Moses Cone Family Medicine in Greensboro, N.C. (2008, 2007). He earned his medical degree at Indiana University (IU) School of Medicine in Indianapolis (2004) and his bachelor’s in biochemistry at IU in Bloomington (2000).
He is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. His memberships include the American College of Sports Medicine, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Family Practice.
A native of Seymour, Ind., he is married to Lindsey Von Fange.
