The Rotary Club of Hannibal invites the community to a day-long celebration of the summer solstice on Saturday, June 23, with the return of Fiesta Del Sol in Hannibal's Central Park.
Featuring cold beer and live music, the annual event is one of the largest fundraisers for the civic organization, and the proceeds will go towards local service projects.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $5 for ages 18 and up. Children 17 and under are free. People ages 21 and over will be required to wear a wrist band in order to drink.
Schlafly, out of St. Louis, will be this year's featured brewery. Beer samplings — a staple of Fiesta Del Sol — will take place from noon to 2 p.m. and again from 4 to 6 p.m. The cost for the sampling is $10.
The main draw for the event is the live music. Rotarians have lived up six musical acts to play throughout the day.
They include: Murray McFarlane (11 a.m. to noon), Seth Wade (12:30 to 1:30 p.m.), Liz Bentley (2 to 3 p.m.), The Memphis Dives (3:30 to 4:30 p.m.), Big House (5 to 6:30 p.m.) and Al Holliday and the East Side Rhythm Band (7:30 to 9 p.m.).
Other vendors providing foods, home goods, and personal goods will be at the event. For more information, contact the Hannibal Rotary Club by searching on Facebook.
